Quality Auditor | £27,973 base salary | Night shift | Chichester
We’re excited to be recruiting a Quality Auditor to join our team at the Merston Factory, in Chichester Food Park!
In this role, you’ll play a key part in safeguarding both food safety and product quality, ensuring our systems, processes, and procedures meet the highest standards. You’ll carry out audits, champion best practice in GMP, and make sure we not only meet but exceed internal, customer, and industry requirements. You’ll also take ownership of closing out any non-conformances, driving continuous improvement across the site.
Shift pattern
We operate a days only shift pattern covering 7pm to 7pam, night shift. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday
You will earn £2,323 on top of your annual salary for working the night shift.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
8. Ensure that the product quality & safety standards are always maintained and that the product that is manufactured meets the customer’s specification and is legally compliant in all aspects
9. Ensure that our factories are always audit ready and the strict GMP standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing site
10. Conduct scheduled auditing of safety, legality and GMP standards of the site
11. Carry out regular documented checks on all areas and lines of manufacture and packing, including paperwork checks to ensure correct completion
12. Carry out validation and verification of processes according to schedule
13. Monitor lines during production and report any issues in relation to quality or product safety
14. Carry out sampling, checks, tests, swabbing and other conformance requirements according to required schedules, including logging of samples into laboratory system
15. Conduct documented investigations and close out non-conformances, using root cause analysis
16. Prepare, audit and file paperwork for lines & mixing room
17. Set up and conduct daily quality assessments, including feedback and trending for operational team
18. Control & documentation of on hold and other non-conforming products
Experience required
19. QA or similar experience working within the food industry, ideally experience in short shelf-life products
20. Food safety Level 2
21. HACCP
22. Basic understanding of Microbiology
23. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Food Safety compliance
24. Working knowledge of Auditing techniques
25. Computer literate, good oral and written communication skills
