Sous chef – work life balance - £34,000 per annum plus tips - Thetford
A popular independent centre is seeking to appoint a Sous chef to join a brigade and continue the sites reputation for catering excellence !
Key Info:
Salary: up to £34,000 + tips
Hours: Permanent, Full Time (alternate weekends and a mix of 8am-5pm and 9am-6pm) alternate weekends no evenings straight shifts ,42 hours a week
Location: Thetford, Norfolk

Responsibilities:
• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
• Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
• Preparing meat and fish
• Assisting with the management of health and safety
• Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
• Managing and training Chefs
• Monitoring portion and waste control
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Requirements:
• Experience as a CDP/ Sous chef in a similar venue
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate about food
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to take operation to the next level
