SEND Teaching Assistant

We’re looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals who can support children with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged, feel supported, and thrive in a positive, nurturing environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting pupils with special educational needs in 1:1 and small-group settings
* Helping implement IEPs and Behaviour Intervention Plans
* Creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff to provide holistic care
* Assisting with academic tasks, communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
* Tracking pupil progress and sharing updates with the teaching team
* Keeping accurate records of achievements, challenges, and goals
* Encouraging independence, resilience, and self-confidence in every child you support
What we’re looking for
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant (SEND experience preferred but not essential)
* Confidence supporting children with autism spectrum condition
* A calm, patient, and caring approach to varied learning needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS (or already have one)
* Ability to maintain a positive, supportive working environment
* Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
