Job Role Senior Quantity Surveyor Location:Warrenpoint Working Hours:40 JOB SUMMARY An exciting and rewarding role within a well-established company. The position requires the QS to provide detailed cost planning and estimates for capital works to include managing site abnormal and risk. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all commercial aspects of contracts, from tender through to final account. Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cashflows. Lead the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and claims. Administer contracts ensuring compliance with terms. Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior management and clients. Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms. Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance evaluation. Support compliance with housing regulations, health & safety, and sustainability standards. Work collaboratively with operations, design, and client teams to achieve successful project delivery. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Required Qualifications Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS accreditation preferred). Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (maintenance, refurbishment, or new build) preferably in Education sector. Strong knowledge of NEC Forms of Contracts Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. High level of financial and commercial awareness. Strong IT skills, including cost management software and MS Office. Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
