Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established tier 1 main contractor on an upcoming scheme in Guildford. The business has a national presence operating out of several offices across the country, undertaking projects across the commercial, education, student accommodation, and MOJ sectors valuing typically up to £150mil.
As a result of a key project win in the region, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the project commercially from the pre-construction phase through delivery. You will be responsible for junior members of staff and will be reporting into the Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
* Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
* Oversee the project's procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
* Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
* Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:
* Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
* Have experience working as commercial lead on schemes valuing circa £50mil.
* Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
* Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to Guildford
