Overview
School Catering Assistant We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our busy school kitchen team.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals to pupils and staff
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with school and statutory requirements
* Set up and clear down the dining area before and after service
* Operate tills and assist pupils during meal times if required
* Carry out cleaning duties including washing up, sanitising surfaces and maintaining kitchen equipment
* Work as part of a supportive team to ensure efficient and smooth-running meal service
Requirements
* Previous catering or kitchen experience
* Food Hygiene Certificate
* A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure
* Good communication skills and ability to interact with pupils in a polite, friendly manner
* Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* An enhanced DBS check will be required
