*We are looking for an experienced Musculoskeletal Podiatrist!* *Is this you?*If you are confident assessing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions using basic examination techniques such as biomechanical assessment and observational gait analysis and love dealing with orthopaedic, paediatric and sports and exercise presentations we would love to talk to you.We are a thriving MSK Podiatry practice striving to be the best, deliver more and grow. At the moment we are turning patients away as we can't accommodate them without another MSK Podiatrist joining the team and we would love to work with another MSK-enthusiast in order for Walkrite to reach it's future potential.*Requirements and qualifications:*- BSc(Hons) Podiatry Degree or equivalent. Post-grad qualifications are not essential but MSK post-grad experience is- HCPC-Registered Podiatrist with full indemnity insurance- confident and experienced in MSK assessments. As a baseline this needs to be basic biomechanical assessment and observational gait analysis. Instrumented gait analysis is available at the practice but it is not a requirement of the position to be competent in any one system prior to joining us- confident and experienced in dealing with sports and exercise medicine presentations in amateur +/- professional athletes- confident and experienced in dealing with paediatric MSK presentations from development to adolescence- confident and experienced in basic MSK interventions including gait re-training, exercise programmes, foot orthoses and ankle-foot orthoses, strapping, footwear advice and modification, sports and running shoe assessment and selection- more advanced MSK interventions such as shockwave therapy and ultrasound-guided injection therapy are available at the practice but not an initial requirement of the position- excellent communication skills, proficiency in English language and basic IT skills. We are a small practice grown on our reputation so the ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues is hugely important and a fundamental requirement of the job*Job details*This is a face-to-face role within a private Podiatry clinic purpose-converted in 2021. Your daily caseload would be varied MSK patients which mainly consist of sports injuries, orthopaedic presentations and paediatric presentations. Full admin cover is provided and full training will be given in areas that are unfamiliar such as certain equipment, however, basic MSK training will not be given as it is a requirement of the role.The co-owners, Nicola and John also run MSK lists at the practice and will support and help with any development of the successful candidate. Walkrite works with and receives referrals from Consultants, GPs, Physiotherapists, SEM Medics and other AHP's and coaches etc meaning there is a wider team to liaise with when necessary.The position can be either full-time or part-time. We would also be happy to accommodate part-time work progressing to full-time in the future if desired. We are flexible about the days and times. No weekends. One or two evenings, depending on circumstances. No home visits.
