Office Administrator on Fixed Term Contract

9-month Fixed Term - Immediate start

Coldra, South Wales

Full-time, office-based

Were working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm who are looking to bring in a proactive and organised Administrator to support their management team on a fixed-term basis.

This is a varied and hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being kept busy and getting involved across different areas of the business. You wont be tied to one department - instead, youll play a key part in supporting the wider team and keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.


What youll be doing

* Supporting the management team with a range of administrative tasks
* Working with spreadsheets and internal databases, including file opening analysis and reporting
* Producing weekly reports and liaising closely with the compliance manager
* Carrying out ID checks using Thirdfort and maintaining accurate records
* Providing reception cover, answering calls and handling general enquiries
* Monitoring and maintaining office stock levels, including supplies and toiletries
* Carrying out basic laptop checks and updates to ensure compliance
* Supporting the marketing manager with events, including summer socials, Christmas parties and external shows
* Assisting with general office duties and ad‑hoc tasks as required
* Visiting local archive sites (approx. 10 minutes away) to manage and organise documents, including deeds and wills


What experience you will need

* Previous administrative experience within a busy office environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Willingness to carry out light manual handling (moving archive boxes)
* A proactive, "switched on" approach with a positive attitude
