Reed Education is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Wakefield area. This long-term role involves supporting the nursery class and fostering a positive learning environment for young children. If you are a dedicated and proactive individual who can confidently manage challenging behavior and lead when necessary, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher with daily activities in the nursery class.
* Lead small intervention groups to support children's learning and development.
* Observe and track children's progress to aid in individual planning.
* Help plan and deliver engaging activities that stimulate children's learning.
* Set up and maintain resources to create a productive learning environment.
* Support children with challenging behavior using a positive and nurturing approach.
* Take charge of the class in the teacher's absence, ensuring a calm and productive atmosphere.
We Are Looking For:
* A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Key Stage One or Key Stage Two (or equivalent).
* Experience working in UK primary school.
* Strong understanding of the curriculum in either Early Years, Key Stage One or Key Stage Two.
* Ability to manage the class effectively in the teacher's absence.
* Confidence in handling challenging behavior with a calm and consistent approach.
* A proactive, flexible team player passionate about children's learning and development.
