About the Role As a Waking Night Care Assistant at Lion Oak Court, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents overnight. You will work as part of a dedicated on-site team providing reassurance, responding to emergencies, and delivering planned care throughout the night.
Your role will focus on maintaining a calm and supportive environment, carrying out regular welfare checks, and being there when residents need you most.
Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality personal care with dignity and respect during the night
Carry out regular welfare checks to ensure resident safety and wellbeing
Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide reassurance
Support residents with mobility, toileting, and repositioning overnight
Administer or assist with medication where required
Maintain accurate records and complete night reports
Promote independence and person-centred care
Follow health & safety procedures, including moving and handling
Work as part of a team to ensure safe, effective overnight care
These responsibilities reflect standard Extra Care night duties, supporting residents in a safe, secure, and supported living environment.
What Were Looking For A kind, compassionate, and reliable individual
Ability to work independently and stay alert during night shifts
Passion for helping others and making a difference
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn (full training provided)
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Availability to work waking night shifts, including alternate weekends
Good English communication skills
