A mix of 08.00 - 14.00 or 12.00 - 18.00 including alt weekends
Pay rate: £12.31 per hour (plus weekend and NVQ enhancements available)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our passionate, hard-working, and friendly catering team, creating delicious meals, snacks, and drinks for our residents. You’ll get to know our residents, understand their likes and dislikes, so that mealtimes are always a highlight of their day.
Joining us means becoming part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth, and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.
Located in historic Old Sarum, just north of Salisbury, Avon Court and Bourne House make up Avonbourne Care Centre. Each offers an elegant environment with compassionate, individualized care in welcoming, relaxing, and homely households.
No previous formal catering experience is required, as we’ll provide training. However, holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be helpful. We’re looking for someone keen on cooking, who takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards. You should have a positive can-do attitude, good communication skills, and a passion for ensuring our residents receive the best service possible.
You should be confident engaging with elderly residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.
