Salary: starting at £25,065 and increasing to £29,291 after successful completion of training & moved to twilight shift

The role
CIL is growing rapidly and we are seeking a motivated individual to join the SMT Kitting team. As the SMT Kitting Operator, you will assist SMT set-up operatives in the preparation of SMT kits for SMT production lines and also support stores with any relevant activities.
You will be primarily responsible for the de-kitting process, X-Ray count back and materials relocation to stores. The role will also involve preparing the bare materials for PCB baking and labelling for the SMT kits.
Primary duties & responsibilities
* Knowledge and follow published procedures and policies in line with CIL business management system and CIL QHUB system whilst adhering to company IT and Data Policy.
* Attention to detail and accuracy, work closely with the SMT Set-Up Operatives to provide maximum support with SMT kits preparation.
* Adhere to Health & Safety requirements, regulations and follow documented procedures.
* Report any problems to the SMT Production Set-up Supervisor or Stores Manager.
* Ensure all work is carried out and completed to specified levels of workmanship, within suitable timeframes
* Ensure bare PCB baking and labelling processes are completed with an accordance of working procedures.
* Ensure all de-kitting jobs are completed with an accordance of working procedures.
* Ensure all de-kitting is controlled before returning to Stores.
* Relocate all the materials from de-kitting jobs.
* Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business within the scope of the stores team
The ideal person will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in a Stores, Manufacturing or Assembly role or similar
* Ideally 5 GCSE's or equivalent to include Maths and English
* Excellent attention to detail
* Computer Literate with use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Previous Stores or manufacturing experience within an electronics environment is desirable
* Experience using fine tools and microscopes would be advantageous
* A form of electronics qualification would be beneficial
