Job Description:
The post holder will be responsible for managing specific elements of estate operations, including building and engineering maintenance teams across a sector of the Trust’s estate.
As a maintenance supervisor, the role involves managing a cost-effective and efficient service that supports the Trust’s objectives of quality and modern healthcare standards.
Working within the Estate Operations Team, the post holder will coordinate estate operational and maintenance activities, including building & engineering services, grounds maintenance, and energy management.
The role requires communicating complex technical information clearly to non-technical staff and maintaining professional accountability within their operational area.

Up to £18.02/hour Umbrella or £16.28/hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
Hours/Week:
37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in maintenance of complex building fabric, engineering plant, and equipment.
* Knowledge of building and engineering trades, preferably in healthcare environments.
* Experience with repairs, replacements, and renewals of building fabric and services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
* Recognized apprenticeship or relevant qualification at QCF/NQF Level 3 or higher, with relevant experience.
* Knowledge of health & safety standards, statutory legislation, and best practices in healthcare.
* People management and leadership skills.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience working with stakeholders and managing contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage trade staff and contractors for maintenance duties.
2. Allocate resources and monitor work quality and completion.
3. Investigate and resolve building and equipment issues, recommending repairs.
4. Plan and oversee maintenance programs.
5. Manage and supervise directly employed staff, including performance and attendance.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory standards.
7. Manage specialist contracts, ensuring patient needs are prioritized.
8. Conduct risk assessments and audits as required.
9. Promote teamwork and high standards among staff and contractors.
