The Role
We are looking for a Strategy and Performance Manager, on a 3‑year fixed‑term contract, to lead on setting the strategic framework for the National Park through the National Park Management Plan and the National Park Authority through our Authority Plan. You will be responsible for managing the Strategy and Performance Team to review and influence the implementation of the National Park Management Plan and Authority Planning process.
Key to the role will be leading the team in the development of the next National Park Management Plan. You will manage the work to influence and guide partners and stakeholders to the benefit of the whole National Park.
The new management plan must incorporate specific climate adaptation measures, and you will also coordinate the Authority’s approach to climate change in the landscape.
About You
You will need to have a proven record of influencing others, working in partnership and corporate planning processes and performance management. You will have experience of developing and implementing evidence‑based strategies, climate change adaptation planning, successful project management, dealing with politically sensitive issues and working with Members.
