Subject Specialist Tutor
Crewe
£30 per hour (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
From September 2025
The Role
Vision For Education are working with a local authority team to appoint subject specialist tutors who are passionate about providing high-quality, subject-specific education on an hourly basis in a 1:1 setting after school. Sessions may be online or face-to-face therefore the ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach and willing to adapt. This is a part-time opportunity but long-term to support learners’ needs.
Subjects include:
• English,
• Maths,
• Science
Requirements
The desired Subject Specialist Tutor will have:
- A teaching qualification
- A subject specialism
- Experience of working with KS3 and KS4 pupils, and those pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils
- An ability to commit to regular tutoring sessions each week
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to complete weekly reports of student’s engagement and attendance
