An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and pro-active Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide high quality input working within Pre-school ALN and Paediatric Dysphagia Services. This is a fixed term temporary post for 12 months for 3 days a week (0.6 WTE). This post is based at Conwy Child Development Centre. The post holder will work within the Pre-school complex needs Speech and Language Therapy service in Conwy Child Development Centre (2 days) and within the Paediatric Dysphagia Service (1 day). Main duties of the job Responsibilities include but are not limited to Triage of referrals; Caseload allocation and prioritisation; Assessment, treatment and management of a complex and highly specialist Paediatric caseload; Planning and supporting transition to community services (Early years clinics and school-aged services). The role involves delivery of training and education to the wider MDT and Band 5 Speech and Language Therapy colleagues in dysphagia and communication. Clinical Education to Speech and Language Therapy students will also be a part of this role. CPD and clinical supervision are encouraged and supported within BCUHB Speech and Language Therapy Services. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
