Our client is an innovative science and research organisation who is looking for a Courier Coordinator. This is a great time to be joining in their success and becoming part of their friendly and supportive team.
What will the role involve
* Processing shipping parcels of samples to be sent to Hospitals and Consultants in the UK and abroad
* Using systems to record deliveries and distributing them to the right department
* Identifying issues with shipments (inbound and outbound) and resolving these
* Contacting external couriers, liasing with other sites/departments
* Emptying outside drop boxes regularly
* Managing emails to the hospital to provide information on collections and deliveries
* Updating the database with accurate information on couriers’
* Answering phone calls and monitoring the entrance gates
* Signing visitors in/out and reporting this to the right department
* Using an excel spreadsheet
* Preparing consumable items to sent to hospitals or consultants
* General upkeep of the office environment – ordering stationery, cleaning, locking up for the day
Who are we looking for?
* A highly organised individual
* Natural problem solver
* A confident communicator who can take initiative to resolve issues
* A keen eye for detail
* Advantageous to have experience of working in logistics or warehouse administration
Additional information
Please note that this role will be on a temporary basis for the first 12 weeks, with the potential for extension. The role will be fully on site.
