About the apprenticeship
Duties
In this Corporate Apprentice (Level 3) role, you will learn to be the first point of contact for internal and external customer enquiries, providing information and accurate and effective administration. You will help source unpaid work experience opportunities across the Council and provide administration support to our Apprenticeship and Engagement Events programmes to promote our varied career paths and the Council as employer.
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will develop a network of professional contacts; assist with organising and attending events; and use a variety of IT applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint and other organisational systems. You will gain a general understanding of the role of the Human Resources (HR) department, including Talent and Engagement activities, HR policies and processes, learning and development, data management, and the wider work of our other HR teams. Depending on your progress, skills and interests, there may be opportunities to contribute to drafting written articles, artwork, social media content or technology updates in this Apprentice role.

Requirements
Qualifications
•GCSE Grade C or above in Maths or Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Application of Number or equivalent.
•GCSE Grade C or above in English (and/or Welsh) or Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Communication or equivalent.
