Overview
An exciting secondment has become available within the Plastic Surgery Department on 28 & 28C for a Ward & Assessment Unit Clerk. The Ward & Assessment Unit Clerk will undertake all administration tasks for the ward & assessment unit and follow the Ward Clerk Job Description.
Responsibilities
* Communicate with Visitors, Patients, Nursing & Medical Staff to help ward staff ensure patient care is co-ordinated safely & effectively.
* Ensure telephone calls and front desk enquiries are handled appropriately and communication is effective between all concerned.
* Ensure all Medical notes are collected, collated, sourced & filed appropriately; including scanning of all assessment unit notes onto PPM.
* Ensure the stock levels are managed & supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
* Ensure patient flow is co-ordinated within the ward area.
* Ensure all relevant follow-up appointments are made for all specialties.
* Ensure Trust Values and Behaviours are adhered to at all times.
