This post is responsible for the operational management and strategic planning of the trust wide Inpatient Integrated Therapy Service which includes both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The focus is to provide high quality, visible professional leadership to deliver an integrated therapy service ensuring sustainable outcomes in line with the trust objectives. Main duties of the job • To lead and support Therapy teams across the inpatient setting to deliver on all aspects of performance, patient care, quality, people management and finance and address performance management issues where necessary. • To provide professional leadership for Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, depending on professional background, within the context of an integrated therapy service. • To undertake the strategic planning, service planning and overall management of the trust wide Therapy Service, ensuring that levels of service are met within agreed resources and standards. Person Specification Qualifications, Experience and Skills Essential • Completion or evidence of working towards Masters level or level 7 qualification • Graduate qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy • Significant experience of operational management • Proven relevant clinical experience within an Inpatient setting • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council • Experience of leading and managing people and service change • The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence across a wide number of people from Trust senior staff, colleagues, staff and patient/carers • Highly developed communication and motivation skills e.g. presentations/posters at Networks, Boards, ICB multi-professional groups • Multi-disciplinary and partnership working to develop integrated service delivery against pathways Desirable • Translating National Policy and guidance into local service delivery against pathways • Evidence of operational management and clinical leadership of an integrated service or equivalent multi professional team • Proven networking in relevant regional and national groups
