English National Ballet is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager to join the Technical team. This role will assist the Stage Management Team in all aspects of production. You will ensure, in collaboration with the Stage Manager, the safe and efficient running of performances and rehearsals. As an Assistant Stage Manager, you will be employed under the Equity House Agreement in terms of pay, holiday, and overtime if required.
1. Assist the Stage Manager with the running maintenance of props and other production requirements whilst on tour.
2. Assist in the smooth and efficient running of rehearsals, including marking out studios, operating sound and video equipment, and looking after set and props.
3. Assist the Stage Manager in the discipline, supervision, and well-being of the Company.
4. Become familiar with the venue and production requirements quickly.
5. Keep accurate records of performance and prop paperwork.
6. Build positive relationships with team members, technical teams, and stakeholders.
7. Experience as an Assistant Stage Manager for large-scale productions.
8. Ability to work with the varied requirements of large-scale ballet productions.
9. Ability to score read to a high standard.
10. Good prop making and maintenance skills.
