Job Title: Children\'s Senior Support Worker
Location: Irthingborough - NN9, Northamptonshire
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Rota-based (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and support to children in a residential setting
* Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home
* Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers to ensure high-quality care
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children
* Ensure all safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed
* Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
* Full UK driving licence – desirable
