About This Role
Joining us as Key Account Manager, your role is central to ensuring we continue to deliver on our company ambition of expanding access for patients across our biosimilars portfolio. This role has full accountability for the development and implementation of a local business plan which aligns to our national strategy and delivers commercial results through appropriate prioritisation and deployment of company resources. You will build productive relationships with local commissioning and clinical customers to identify opportunities where our biosimilar portfolio and value services can support delivery within the local health economy.
Candidates are required to live within the stated territory for this role.
What You’ll Do
* Develop and implement effective regional and strategic account plans to maximize territory sales.
* Build and strengthen partnerships with all key stakeholder groups including Payor and high-level clinical customers within ICSs and Trusts to drive Biosimilar utilisation for newly launched and established Biosimilar products.
* Drive awareness of our value proposition to ensure optimal positioning and uptake of the Biosimilar portfolio of medicines, whilst partnering with the NHS to support the implementation of Biosimilars, progressing regional tender outcomes and support protocol development & pathway improvement.
* You will have full accountability and autonomy, flexing your entrepreneurial skills to drive your business.
* All of this will be done in keeping with Biosimilar brand objectives and strategy as part of a small and agile UK & Ireland team.
How you will be successful:
* Understand your customer environment and deliver territory sales through strategic planning and execution.
* Develop, execute, and update regional business and strategic account plans.
* Adopt an omni-channel approach balancing face-to-face and digital interactions to build relationships with healthcare decision makers.
* Utilise digital tools, sales data, and customer insights to support activities.
* Gain customer consent to leverage multi-channel engagement.
* Collaborate with colleagues across functions like Market Access, Marketing, and Medical.
* Demonstrate industry-leading knowledge of biosimilars and NHS landscape.
* Maintain compliance with company standards and keep timely documentation.
Who You Are
You are a commercially savvy, highly motivated account manager with NHS experience, capable of driving health system change. You excel in building relationships with stakeholders and are passionate about patient access and innovative solutions. You have a strong pharmaceutical sales background, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and data-driven results orientation.
Qualifications
Required Skills
* ABPI qualification
* Experience with clinical, hospital pharmacy/payer, and NHS commissioning customers.
* Ability to develop stakeholder networks and interpret sales data.
* Experience in Rheumatology is required.
* Proven sales success in pharma.
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* High scientific and technical knowledge in pharma.
Desirable Skills:
* Biosimilar experience preferred but not essential.
* Experience in Gastroenterology and Ophthalmology is desirable.
