So, What’s This All About?
We’re on the lookout for someone who already knows their way around composite materials and wants to put that knowledge to good use. This isn’t just about being handy with tools — it’s about working with materials like Aluminium Honeycomb, Nomex Honeycomb, Foams, Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre, Kevlar, and Pre-preg Laminates to craft lightweight, high-performance products that end up in some pretty exciting projects.
If you’re the sort of person who gets the details right, enjoys hands-on work, and cares about quality, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Get Stuck Into
* Using composite lay-up techniques to create strong, lightweight structures.
* Working directly with Aluminium Honeycomb, Nomex Honeycomb, Foams, Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre, Kevlar, and Pre-preg Laminates to produce bespoke products.
* Getting hands-on with heated presses, CNC routers, saws, and ovens (training provided where needed).
* Following engineering drawings and build instructions to assemble complex composite products.
* Keeping things neat, precise, and documented — quality checks and paperwork included.
* Rolling up your sleeves to support the team with loading/unloading, general workshop tasks, and mentoring when you’re confident enough to share your know-how.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
* Proven knowledge OR experience working with composite materials (Aluminium Honeycomb, Nomex Honeycomb, Foams, Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre, Kevlar, Pre-pregs).
* Confidence with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
* Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.
* A steady focus — you can repeat processes without cutting corners.
* Team spirit and a collaborative attitude — you’re not shy about asking questions or lending a hand.
* Keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality.
A Few Things You Might Not Love
* Some of the work is repetitive — but that’s how we achieve consistent, high-quality products.
* It can be physically demanding (lifting up to 30kg with a teammate).
* Health & Safety rules are strict here — precision and compliance matter as much as speed.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If composites are your thing and you’re looking for a role where your skills actually matter, hit apply and send us your CV (doesn’t have to be perfect). We’ll take it from there.
