An opportunity is available for a Team Leader working in Ty Coch who will report into the Field Operations Team Manager and will be responsible for leading a group of Trades Persons.The key focus of this role is to lead an efficient and productive team across a region. Key considerations for the successful running of your team include: ensuring they are working compliantly within H&S policies, coordinating programmes of work for them to undertake, maximising efficiencies in delivery, ensuring your team has the appropriate development and authorisations and effectively managing performance on a 1:1 basis.This is a crucial role to help drive forward performance and give our large teams the support they need in the field. The new Team Leader role will be one of ways to help improve the way we carry out our work.The introduction of the role of Team Leader is a significant investment in our future. It will not only support our busy team managers, but also ensure we are getting the best value out of the work we do to improve service for our 8 million customers.The starting salary will be £43,491 until the training is successfully completed. Our vision is to be at the heart of a clean, fair and affordable energy future and we are doing this in a fast-moving industry with an increasing focus on tackling climate change, exploring new energy sources that are renewable, low carbon, and improve efficiency to meet demand.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsuring your teams adherence to Health and Safety regulationsEfficient scheduling of work activitiesCollaboration with other teams to manage workloadDriving team productivity and individual performance managementMaintaining a full schedule of work for the teamEnsure our people have theappropriatetraining and work authorisations to support a safe and productive working environmentRespond quickly and professionally to customer complaints The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a proven track record of managing teams, and will be experienced in being an escalation point for both the team and external customers.The ability to develop a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002 and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989Organised, with strong problem solving and the ability to think and plan aheadGood communicator with the presence to build strong relationships with our customersAn understanding of and the ability to effectively manage performanceKnowledge of craft roles or the ability/willingness to quickly develop your understanding of these roles and the work activities in your teamA NRSWA qualification or understanding of NRSWA legislation is desirable but full training can be provided.This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required.
