Role: Advanced Clinical Practitioner (MSc) or Credentialed

Hours: Negotiable; full and part time available
Pay: £27.49 – £30.63 per hour depending on experience (pending pay review)
Base/Location: Doncaster Urgent and Emergency Care Services

Responsibilities
* Practice under senior supervision as a practitioner, undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment/referral and discharge of patients presenting with minor injury and illness within agreed parameters.
* Provide advanced clinical skills and advice, with autonomous practice within policy and governance frameworks.
* Provide advice, information, knowledge and support to staff.
* Identify local demographic and environmental factors influencing health and quality of life.
* Utilise non-medical prescribing within local formularies and policies; participate in annual audit of prescribing practices.
* Ensure child protection and vulnerable adult legislation is adhered to within practice and service.
* Assist with development and evaluation of policies/protocols for advanced and specialist clinical practice.
* Plan and manage workload to meet patient needs; contribute to clinical governance and incident reporting as appropriate.
* Promote positive relationships with stakeholders within the service and participate in peer review of practice.
* Be flexible to support the service across multiple sites and home visiting services.
Safeguarding & Professional Standards
* Safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults; attend mandatory safeguarding training.
* Maintain professional registration and CPD; keep a professional portfolio aligned with the advanced practice framework.
* Use resources appropriately; act as advocate for patients and contribute to change and conflict resolution.
* Participate in regular clinical supervision and ensure NICE/CAS alerts are followed; maintain knowledge of NHS policy and NICE guidance in Urgent Care.
Non-Medical Prescribing
* Possess prescribing capacity with current registration including V300; prescribe from an agreed Personal Formulary aligned to practice and evidence.
* Review and develop Personal Formulary annually; undertake prescribing practice audits.
Education, Training & Leadership
* Hold an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent with Level 7 qualifications and be credentialed.
* Work autonomously; identify development needs and lead in changes; provide clinical supervision.
* Provide educational opportunities and supervise students; contribute to clinical governance outcomes.
* Act as designated prescribing practitioner for non-medical prescribing students.
* Offer face-to-face clinical supervision and support clinical learning across the service.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
* Essential: Live Health Care Professional registration; experienced Non-Medical Prescriber (V300); unsupervised practice in primary/urgent care; minor injury/illness assessment and treatment; strong clinical records; leadership capability; experience in change and audits; knowledge of evidence-based practice in primary/urgent care.
* Desirable: driving license; triage/streaming experience; paediatric assessment qualifications; DPP qualification; additional specialty qualifications.
* Skills: ability to work in high-demand, fast-paced environments; diplomacy and negotiation; strong communication; IT proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, clinical IT systems).
