Youth Transitions Coach (Connexions Team) Salary: Grade 6 - £18,181.50 - 20, 388.50 per annum Contract type: Fixed term/part time 18.5 hours per week We are committed to supporting more young people into good jobs, training, and meaningful futures. The Council has been delivering enhanced support for 16-18-year-olds through the Connexions team, ensuring every young person has a clear pathway into education, employment and training. We are now seeking one part time (0.5) Youth Transitions Coach to join the Connexions team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to young people’s lives by helping to prevent them becoming NEET or unemployed. As the Youth Transitions Coach, you will: Provide tailored, flexible one-to-one support to those who are currently NEET/unemployed (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people aged 16-18. Manage a NEET & Not Known caseload Support them into Education, Employment, Training or apprenticeships. Supporting young people by carrying out home visits. Liaising with parents and carers of young people. Supporting young people during duty and drop-in sessions from our designated centre in Wolverhampton Work in community settings, and youth-focused environments to identify young people who need support transitioning into their next stage of their career. Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
