Investment Associate/Manager, UK Lower-Mid Market PE
Broadfield Capital is a recently established Independent Sponsor investing in the UK lower mid-market. The firm has a strong track record of backing ambitious management teams and driving long-term, sustainable growth, with a particular focus on B2B business services and buy-and-build strategies. Having completed its first transaction, Broadfield is now building a focused portfolio of 5–10 UK businesses and looking to deploy c.£50m of investment.
The firm is seeking to hire an Investment Manager to join its London office. This is a broad, high-impact role offering full exposure across origination, execution, fundraising, and portfolio value creation. It will suit candidates who thrive in hands-on environments, enjoy working closely with management teams, and are motivated by building and scaling businesses. The successful candidate will play a key role in all aspects of running and growing a private equity firm.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, assess, and execute new investment opportunities
Lead origination efforts across corporate finance intermediaries and direct to target companies
Build and review financial models, valuations, and transaction analysis
Manage key diligence workstreams throughout the transaction lifecycle
Partner with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational initiatives
Prepare Investment Committee materials, internal reporting, and fund-level analysis
Support fundraising processes, including preparation of marketing materials and investor engagement
Candidate Profile
3–5 years' experience in investment banking, transaction services, or private equity
Proven experience executing lower mid-market transactions
Strong financial modelling, analytical, and due diligence capabilities
Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Credible presence with senior management teams
Highly motivated, commercially astute, and proactive with sound judgement
