Specialist Nurse - Oncology/Urology
We are looking for an oncology nurse to join our team at Apodi on a rapidly growing prostate cancer Patient Support Programme. Working alongside a globally renowned pharmaceutical company providing gold standard care to prostate cancer patients, you will manage your own caseload of patients in an NHS clinic setting together with virtual patient touchpoints.
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK, SG1 1.
Key Responsibilities
* Working as part of a supportive, dynamic team of Specialist Nurses focused on the delivery of this Patient Support Programme.
* Covering clinics at The Royal Surrey County Hospital and virtual clinics from home.
* Making and delivering scheduled support calls and outpatient clinic visits.
* Providing clinical reviews, toxicity management, patient education and support as an experienced oncology nurse.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
* Providing continuity of care for your patients.
* Advocating for patients’ needs, managing your own diary, building trusting relationships with patients, carers and stakeholders.
About You
* Current registered nurse with proven experience in SACT and urology nursing.
* Experience working within a haematological/oncology environment.
* Current UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Willingness and ability to travel to clinics (essential).
* Any Patient Support Programme experience an advantage.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, passion for improving patient outcomes.
