About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team supporting critical MOD infrastructure. This role will focus on network design, deployment, and management across multiple RAF sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide design expertise for future network upgrades, including preparation of SDRs, HLDs, LLDs, and test documentation.
* Build, configure, and deploy network hardware to implement design solutions.
* Offer guidance on network obsolescence, propose replacement hardware, and assess risks of network transitions.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
* Act as the network manager for current infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Extensive experience with CISCO and Dell network infrastructure.
* Familiarity with CISCO Smart Account Management is desirable.
* Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
* MOD DV clearance is essential; willingness to go through STRAP is required.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and tasks.
