Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home or School-Based)
Location: Coventry and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours (typically between 8:30am–3:30pm)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
We are looking for passionate and reliable 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Coventry area. This role involves delivering personalised education in either a home or school setting, supporting young people who may require additional help outside of mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs
* Support students with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, or those currently out of mainstream education
* Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
* Build strong, positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement
* Track, assess, and report on pupil progress
* Liaise with parents, schools, and other professionals as required
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to deliver flexible and creative lessons
* Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Relevant qualifications (teaching, tutoring, or degree-level education preferred but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
