SEMH Teaching Assistant – Primary School Focus
Bury St Edmunds | £90–£105/day | Immediate Start
We’re seeking a resilient, nurturing SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a well-respected school supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support individual pupils with complex emotional needs
2. Use de-escalation and restorative approaches
3. Build strong, trusting relationships and offer consistent care
You’ll need:
4. Experience working with challenging behaviour or vulnerable groups
5. Calm, confident demeanour and a strong sense of empathy
6. Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential)
This is a highly rewarding role with scope for progression into mentoring or pastoral positions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
