SEN Learning Support Assistant

* SEND experience within the education sector required
* Supporting an individual child within the Reception class
Due to a staffing gap, a reputable Burnley Primary School is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will commence in September 2025 and involves working full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, within the reception classroom. The successful candidate should have experience in the education sector and be confident in supporting children with diverse additional needs. As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will provide additional support in lessons and help pupils develop independence and confidence. Experience working with ASD may be advantageous but is not essential.
The Primary School is centrally located in Burnley and is a two-form entry school. It has a supportive and longstanding SLT that encourages staff to undertake various CPD courses throughout the academic year. To be considered, you must be passionate about children's wellbeing and safety. Working with children with SEN can be challenging but rewarding.
