We are a family‑owned seafood specialist, sourcing premium, sustainable seafood for over 20 years. Our story began with our co‑founders Ben and Robin becoming oyster merchants, which evolved into the UK’s leading seafood supplier, Wright Brothers Wholesale, supplying over 500 restaurants across the UK. Most recently we launched our online fishmonger, Wright Brothers at Home, delivering the same quality seafood directly to customers nationwide. We proudly operate three London restaurants of our own in Battersea Power Station, Borough Market, and South Kensington. Borough Market is where all began back in 2005, and where we have been delivering great seafood and good times ever since.
We are looking for a charismatic, energetic and experienced General Manager to lead this iconic location and drive its continued success. As General Manager, you will work closely with the restaurant support team to manage the restaurant operationally whilst being a positive role model to lead our passionate restaurant team in delivering the best seafood experience to our guests.
What You Will Do
* Lead, inspire and support your team to deliver memorable experiences for all our guests.
* Manage all aspects of the people function in relation to recruitment, training, development and performance.
* Drive sales, control costs and have full accountability for the financial performance of the site.
* Maintain high standards of compliance, follow all reporting and operational procedures.
* Encourage a culture of continual learning – as a team we are always developing our knowledge to provide our guests with the ultimate experience, ranging from seasonal changes, the history of our ports and day boats, or even the viniculture and provenance behind our drinks menus.
Who You Will Be
* A natural leader – encourage positivity, think inclusively, and nurture a culture of teamwork and respect.
* 2–3 years’ experience in a GM role within a fast‑paced, premium casual environment.
* A proven track record of planning and successfully executing operational and people strategies, demonstrating autonomy and empowerment to make decisions.
