About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and commercially minded Legal & Compliance Officer to join a growing, technology-focused organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of law, business, and innovation.
You will play a key role in supporting legal, regulatory, and compliance activities across the business, ensuring strong governance, managing risk, and maintaining compliance across international operations. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, this position offers a broad and varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, confidentiality, licensing, and consultancy contracts
* Manage the full contract lifecycle and maintain accurate records
* Support commercial teams with negotiations and risk assessment
Compliance & Regulatory
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection (GDPR), export controls, and corporate governance requirements
* Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and compliance monitoring
* Deliver training and guidance to employees
Legal Risk & Advisory
* Provide practical, business-focused legal advice across the organisation
* Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks
* Support dispute resolution and litigation where required
* Promote a culture of ethical conduct and compliance
HR & Employment Law
* Advise on employment law matters including contracts, policies, and employee relations issues
* Support disciplinary and grievance processes xsngvjr
* Ensure HR practices remain legally compliant
Intellectual Property
* Assist in managing and protecting intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets
* Liaise with external advisors on filings and IP strategy
External Counsel
* Manage relationships with external legal advisors
* Coordinate legal support and ensure cost-effective use of services
About You
Essential
* 5+ years' experience in commercial law, compliance, or regulatory environments
* Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
