Design Manager – £25m Distribution Centre
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 package
We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the team on a £25m Distribution Centre project based in Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major industrial scheme, working closely with consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
The Role:
1. Manage and coordinate design information from pre-construction through to completion
2. Chair design team meetings and lead consultant and subcontractor coordination
3. Manage design programmes, RFIs, and information release schedules
4. Ensure compliance with planning conditions, Building Control, and BREEAM requirements
5. Carry out technical reviews and support value engineering opportunities
6. Provide design input into procurement and support the project delivery team
About You:
7. Proven experience working as a Design Manager within construction
8. Strong understanding of the design process and technical coordination
9. Experience on industrial or distribution centre projects preferred
10. Organised, methodical, and confident managing multiple workstreams
11. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
