Cover Supervisor – Secondary Location: Beverley & East Riding of Yorkshire Start Date: May 2026 Salary: £90 – £120 per day (dependent on experience and assignment) The Role Vision for Education are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Beverley and the East Riding of Yorkshire from May 2026. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects. This role does not require planning or marking but does require strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning. This position is ideal for graduates and aspiring teachers who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training. Requirements To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor – Secondary, you will: Have a degree or relevant experience working with young people Be confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour Be adaptable, organised, and reliable Have strong communication skills Be passionate about working with young people and supporting their learning Be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service Experience working in a school setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
