Planning Engineer - Transmission Projects A Planning Engineer is required to support a major programme of high-voltage transmission infrastructure works across the north of Scotland. This role focuses on developing, coordinating, and maintaining robust project plans across multidisciplinary teams and contractors. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 across design, consents, procurement, and construction phases. Coordinate planning activities between internal project teams and external contractors to ensure accurate progress tracking and reporting. Analyse programme data to identify delays, risks, and opportunities, providing clear recommendations to support project decision-making. Support programme governance by preparing updates, dashboards, and reports for senior stakeholders. Contribute to planning inputs for NEC or similar forms of contract, including programme updates and early warning/compensation event support. About You Experience within the transmission, energy, or power infrastructure sector is highly desirable; wider construction or infrastructure planning experience will also be considered. Primavera P6 expertise is essential, with demonstrable experience building and maintaining complex programme structures. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret programme data and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with NEC contracts or similar contract planning environments is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
