Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)
Doncaster Territory
Monday to Friday, 40 or 45 Hour Contracts Available
Starting Salary: £31,000 - £40,500, depending on the contact chosen

The Service Engineer (Field) role is suitable for engineers with experience in plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, with ideally some engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills.
The company manufactures forklift trucks. As part of the local team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on forklifts and related equipment in Doncaster. No extensive travel or overnight stays are required. Overtime is available mainly during weekdays.
Role Summary:
* Carry out PPM and breakdown repairs on materials handling machinery as a field service engineer
* Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the designated area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment
* Ensure spares are stocked in the van overnight
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade backgrounds are also suitable
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
