Apprentice Lift Engineer in Glasgow
Stannah is seeking ambitious Apprentice Lift Engineers to join our Maintenance and Repair division. You will serve a route across Central Scotland and surrounding areas, earning a starting salary of £17,164, with regular reviews based on performance. This apprenticeship offers a 40‑month duration, a mix of practical, mentoring and structured learning at our training centre, and the qualification in Lift Engineering upon completion.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 08:00‑16:45, Friday 08:00‑15:45
Responsibilities
* Shadow qualified Engineers assisting with the servicing and repair of lifts.
* Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.
* Attend training and mentoring sessions, both in person and online.
* Participate in at least 20% off‑the‑job training.
* Demonstrate the aptitude and behaviours of a future Stannah Lift Engineer.
Training & Development
* Duration of 40 months.
* A mix of practical, mentoring and structured learning at our training centre.
* Achievement of a qualification in Lift Engineering.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum of GCSE Grade 4‑9 (A‑C) passes in Maths and English.
* Keen interest in engineering or practical experience working in a related role.
* Valid driving licence or working towards obtaining one.
