Every child deserves a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive!
At Pebbles Care, our Residential Child Care Workers provide that opportunity by offering a stable home environment. Collaborating with our established teams, you will become an essential part of our children's lives. As a committed member of our Pebbles family, you will support all aspects of home and school life, as well as participate in fun activities. Pebbles offers the opportunity to form lasting relationships, as children typically stay with us for an average of two years.
If you enjoy working with children and have the resilience to handle challenging behaviours while providing a caring, therapeutic approach, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your Role as a Residential Child Care Worker
Our full-time roles average 56.4 hours per week (including sleep hours), with options for part-time and zero-hour contracts. You may provide support on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, depending on the child's needs.
You will benefit from expert advice and training from our in-house psychology team, as well as our education, learning, and development department.
Safeguarding our young people from risk and harm is our main priority. With team support, you will ensure our children are cared for in all aspects of their lives, including safety, emotional support, fun, education, transportation, cooking, cleaning, and life skills development.
You will be required to drive our company vehicles to support attendance at appointments and activities. A full, valid UK manual driving licence is necessary. Overseas licences require applying for a UK licence upon employment offer.
The role is challenging and requires resilience, determination, and patience. Your creativity, skills, hobbies, and interests will bring additional inspiration to our homes.
You will be based in one home full-time but may support others in the same area occasionally.
