Do you enjoy turning complex data into clear insight that drives million-pound investment decisions? Can you spot the story behind the numbers and help senior leaders make smarter, faster choices? Would you thrive in a team that builds thousands of homes every year and needs data to guide every step?
One of the UK’s largest housing associations and a major developer of new homes — is seeking an Interim Development Insight Analyst to bring clarity, intelligence, and structure to how they evaluate and monitor their development and investment programme. This is a 6m contract with a hybrid working pattern.
Sitting within the Finance Directorate and supporting the Investment & Development teams, this role turns raw data into actionable insight — helping shape strategy, guide capital decisions, and ensure they deliver value across a multi-billion-pound portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Creating, building and maintaining Power BI dashboards that show how development projects are performing on cost, margin, and progress through key gateways
2. Analysing investment performance across regions and tenures to highlight risks, underperformance, and opportunities; and arm Finance Business Partners with information needed to support stakeholders
3. Translating data into clear recommendations for senior leaders to support investment decisions
4. Working closely with finance, data, and development colleagues to improve the quality and completeness of key datasets
5. Scoping and delivering new reporting tools that make information accessible and easy to act on
6. Acting as a Power BI champion within the organisation, helping modernise how data is used to support decision-making
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves finding patterns, drawing conclusions, and helping others see what the data really means. You’ll play a direct role in guiding how one of the country’s most ambitious housing developers invests in its future homes.
To be considered, please meet these criteria:
7. Experience building and developing PowerBI dashboards and report
8. Proven experience generating data-led insight to support business or investment decisions using PowerBI
9. Confident working with financial and performance data in a commercial or development context
10. Excellent communication skills — able to simplify complex analysis for non-technical audiences
11. Experience in the housing, real estate, or construction sectors is desirable; without this, applications should clearly highlight how experience relates.
If you’re ready to use data to help shape the future of housing, apply today or contact me for a confidential conversation.
