We are an expert team working with Academy Trusts across the UK with an expanding client base looking. As part of our growth, we are seeking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Governance Office Apprentice. You will work alongside a team of governance professionals providing specialist academy governance and compliance support.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Shadowing Governance partners attending governance meetings within the Education sector
* Producing draft minutes from notes taken at the above meetings ensuring accuracy of detail discussed
* Liaising with managers to support completion of corporate governance reporting ensuring that the business is complying with legislation and regulations
* Contacting clients, expediting emails and phone calls in a professional manner, forwarding messages and highlighting those of priority
* Managing diaries, organising meetings and appointments
* Quality Assuring governance documents for issue to clients
* Typing, compiling and preparing minutes, reports, presentations and correspondence
* Managing databases and filing systems
* Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems
* Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
* Collating and filing of expenses
* Collation and distribution of confidential governance documents following company guidelines
* Interacting with the marketing and sales team to provide support

What you'll learn
Course contents
* Interpret regulation, legislation and governance practices and advise and train stakeholders on its practical application.
* Establish, maintain, and influence relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
* Use IT systems to manage, share and store information in accordance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies and procedures.
* Communicate complex information through a variety of media to enable key stakeholders to understand what is required.
* Review instructions, following them to a conclusion through the execution of tasks.
* Identify and use precedents adapted for specific circumstances such as resolutions, announcements, reports.
* Produce work which is factually accurate and well presented for submission to the members of a decision-making governing body and for publication by the organisation.
* Develop and maintain structure charts for the organisation.
* Plan and prioritise their workload to meet deadlines.
* Maintain and organise forward looking plans and calendars, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of upcoming events such as meetings, reporting timetables, compliance deadlines.
* Gather, analyse, use, and share data to inform the decision-making process and make judgements on actions to take.
* Identify problems and present potential solutions to stakeholders.
* Respond to stakeholder questions and requests, knowing when to consult with others or escalate on matters of a more complex or sensitive nature.

Training schedule
Governance Officer Level 4.
Training will take place remotely and on the employers' premises.
Apprentices will have a study day each week.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
English and Maths (grade C and above)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
