We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Early Careers Business Partner. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 22 hours a week on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Senior Early Career Business Partner, you will deliver the established provision of numerous Apprenticeship routes, support the development of early career pipelines, and provide pastoral care for all early careers populations at Luton.
What you will do as an Early Careers Business Partner:
1. Provide line management supervision to Apprentices for the duration of their programme, being the site contact point for all Early Careers issues, pastoral care, and enquiries. Support quarterly reviews, placement plans, and disciplinary/capability situations.
2. Develop a learning culture and environment that supports the development of Apprentices’ skills, knowledge, and careers, providing clear guidance and advice to internal stakeholders.
3. Work closely with Training Providers to monitor and deliver attendance, progress, performance, and assessment of Apprentices on programme, offering coaching and development on a one-to-one basis, ensuring protected learning is in place.
4. Organise and lead site-based/local Apprentice Governance Group meetings and facilitate monthly Early Careers forums.
5. Manage and maintain learner data, track progress, support self-assessment, quality audits, and evaluation activities as required, meeting all regulatory requirements and ensuring documentation and record-keeping meet standards.
6. Support business planning activities, including establishing new trainee pipelines and Early Careers recruitment by attending recruitment events, undertaking candidate assessments and interviews, and delivering Apprentice onboarding and induction.
What we will need from you:
1. Practical experience of developing and delivering early careers/trainee programmes and delivering specialist advice.
2. Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements, funding streams/systems, and compliance/regulatory requirements.
3. Knowledge of current Skills coaching techniques and Safeguarding & Prevent legislation.
4. Ability to work with varied internal and external stakeholders across a matrix structure.
5. Confidence and ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
6. Flexibility, adaptability, and effectiveness within a team.
7. General understanding of the business area and recruitment principles.
