We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the chef with various tasks related to food preparation and service alongside general FOH duties. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for cooking and customer service wishing to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
* Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes to ensure timely service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
* Ensure that FOH runs smoothly communicating with the bar team as necessary.
* Serve food to customers or guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
* Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night 17:30 - 22:00
Saturday 11:00 - 15:00 / 17:45 - 22:00
Additional hours often available.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.25-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
