We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Carpentry Working Foreman to deliver high-end luxury residential projects across London. This is a hands-on role suited to a highly skilled carpenter who is confident leading from the front while maintaining exceptional quality standards expected on prime and super-prime residential schemes.
You will play a key role in managing site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Work hands-on as a lead carpenter on site, delivering high-quality first and second fix carpentry.
* Oversee day-to-day site activities and coordinate labour and subcontractors.
* Report directly to the Project Manager, providing progress updates and programme feedback.
* Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme.
* Maintain exceptional quality control standards across all carpentry and associated packages.
* Manage materials, site logistics, and deliveries efficiently.
* Enforce health & safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised site.
* Supervise and mentor carpenters and apprentices where required.
* Attend site meetings and contribute to planning and sequencing discussions.
* Assist with problem-solving and technical detailing on bespoke elements.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Working Foreman or Senior Carpenter within luxury residential projects in London.
* Strong hands-on carpentry background (first and second fix essential).
* Experience running projects or packages while reporting into a Project Manager.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and detailed joinery specifications.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
* High attention to detail with a passion for delivering premium finishes.
* SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
* CSCS card (Blue or Gold minimum).
