Due to ongoing demand and our growth ambitions, we are recruiting Senior Estimators with proven experience in the Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water, or Utilities sectors. Opportunities are available in our London, Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester offices.
Estimators at Turner & Townsend support clients either as embedded resources within their organizations or through ad-hoc assignments across multiple clients in the Infrastructure sector, as part of our Estimating Hub. While most work is for UK-based clients, estimators may have the opportunity to work remotely (from the UK) on global estimating projects.
Our team delivers various estimating outputs to support client decision-making, including:
* Estimate Production (from order of magnitude to detailed estimates based on first principles)
* Estimating support for major program setup
As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
* Producing accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans efficiently and on time
* Managing the estimating process at the project level
* Producing estimates independently
* Promoting estimating best practices within Turner & Townsend
* Contributing to departmental objectives
* Keeping up-to-date with developments in estimating to provide best practice advice aligned with business goals
Qualifications
* High-standard qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
* Successful experience providing estimating and/or QS services in large projects
* Experience with estimating software packages
* Membership of a relevant professional body, with chartered status or working towards it
* Desirable: Membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
