Job description
As a Care Assistant, you will be supporting individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible and to demonstrate the values of the Care and Support Department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Following care and/or support plans for each service user/tenant with respect and dignity.
* Carrying out or assisting with domestic cleaning, cooking and shopping tasks as instructed.
* Assisting with the provision of medication as directed.
* Providing up to date information to maintain service user records as required.
* Responding to health and safety issues, comply with current infection control policies and procedures and complete relevant H&S training and implement emergency procedures if necessary.
* Assisting in the delivery of support to clients who may present behavioural challenges.
* Using IT systems to record information and correspond with team and stakeholders.
* Providing coaching to other team members which includes observing practice and giving feedback.
* Adhering to mandatory vaccination requirements for the role; providing evidence of exemptions where applicable.
Requirements:
* Experience of working as a Care Assistant.
* Comfortable in assisting individuals with their personal care.
