Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: Up to £55k, depending on experience

Are you a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for innovation and process improvement? An established, industry-leading aerospace engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction & Development (NPI & NPD):
1. Lead technical evaluations of aircraft component repairs and overhauls
2. Conduct reverse engineering of component assemblies
3. Develop and validate alternative tooling designs
4. Deliver NPD projects on time and within budget
5. Produce technical documentation, drawings, and analysis
6. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and procedure creation
Sustaining Engineering:
7. Provide hands-on technical support for equipment failures and non-conformances
8. Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis
9. Design or upgrade tools and equipment in line with test specifications and budgets
10. Apply industrial engineering methods to identify efficiency opportunities
Continuous Improvement:
11. Support operational excellence and lean initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, GEMBA, 5S)
12. Champion process standardisation and cost-saving projects
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
13. Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline
14. Strong knowledge of technical drawings and engineering documentation
15. Understanding of AS9100 is essential, while CAA/EASA & FAA Part 145 and Part 21G standards experience is desirable.
16. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage projects effectively
