Orka Financial is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their clients growing finance team based in Reading. To take ownership of a diverse client portfolio. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information while supporting regulatory compliance and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a portfolio of clients.
* Complete monthly reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts.
* Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Finalise and deliver comprehensive management accounts packs.
* Compile and submit VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines.
* Assist with the production of year-end financial statements
* Prepare FCA regulatory filings in accordance with reporting standards.
* Support the calculation and review of P11D benefits and PSA submissions.
* Act as a key point of contact for auditors, facilitating the upload of documentation across various platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a similar role
* Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
